3/4/2023 0 Comments Lagavulin slay the spireKnowing what can be coming will inform your decision making. The same elite cannot be fought back to back. For each act, there are 3 elites and 3 bosses. Remember the elites and bosses you face and what they do. You need to be very aggressive to take them on, and expect to lose some health. Gremlin Nob deals more damage if you play skills, Lagavulin will outscale your block and Sentries will fill your deck with Dazed and hit you while you barely have cards to play. The act 1 elites are messy, and if you play defensively into them you will get screwed. You might want to take a shop since you have gold from a bonus at the start etc. This would be a perfect start in most cases. Your first 3 hallway fights are easier, so if you take those you can get several opportunities to get cards and still be high health enough to upgrade a card at the campfire and then do the elite. Try to stick to a simple rule at the start, that is take at least 3 normal hallway fights and a campfire before an elite. Attempt to take 2 at least, though this can be difficult in the base game since the harder difficulty makes them likelier to spawn. The relics they drop are very powerful and they also increase your chance to see rarer(generally better as well) cards. It’s tempting to be scared of them because they are difficult and can hurt, but they are essential to doing well. Some beginner tips I wished I knew when I was new:ġ. It’s very rewarding to see your own progress. Practically every run is beatable and learning how to is the game, pretty much. It will take a while to get something great again Sometimes you can get screwed by luck and sometimes you get incredible things that carry you. man, this game feels like Relic gacha to me. the elites and final boss didn't even stand a chance. got bunch of god-tier game-winning relics. *I won on my 9th run, got lucky with good offensive and block cards and especially RELICS. is the key to winning just pray for card gacha RNG and of coruse better card management (disposal/upgrade at merchant/rest area) Even with that perfect RNG I still couldn't beat the game and this is RougeLIKE and lite, so I don't actually get stronger after each death. I think I got really lucky with cards on my 1st run, got good relics (no longer discard unused cards, double attack every 20 turns, add dexterity/strength etcetc) and good offensive cards (twin strikes, upgrade all cards+, block +10, 0 cost attack cards, add block every time I attack, deal damage equal to my block, cards that many cards that inflict Weak and Vulnrable). My 2nd, 3rd and 4th run I couldn't even reach the 2nd boss. Fixed issue where Lagavulin would come out of its shell with Neow's Lament or Preserved Insect. My 1st run went really really well, I almost reached the final boss, but died to an elite that dealt 45 damage to my 44 health.Fixed gameplay pause for Lagavulin and Hexaghost.Hexaghost and Lagavulin enemies now pre-cache music so there's no lag when music starts mid-combat.A whisky with the same name is produced there. Lagavulin references a distillery located in Islay, Scotland.Lagavulin comes from Gaelic language ' Lag a’ Mhuilinn' which means 'hollow of the mill'. If you have one Artifact charge when Siphon Soul is used, it will block the dexterity debuff since that is applied first.Try to stay mostly aggressive for the fight after its Siphon Soul ability is used too many times it will be much harder to defeat it.Alternatively, on the third turn, it may be more reasonable to deal damage instead of buffs/debuffs if a large amount of damage is possible. Use the three turns before the Lagavulin wakes up to prepare for the fight by using Powers, or Bash as the Ironclad. Will attack twice, then use the ability Siphon Soul and repeats this pattern for the duration of the fight. If the Lagavulin is left unharmed for three turns, it will wake up on its own and begin the fourth turn unstunned. When the Lagavulin wakes up by being attacked, it will be stunned for one turn. The Lagavulin will awake at the end of its 3rd turn or when any HP damage is taken through the Block, and will lose its Metallicize buff in the process. The Lagavulin will start with the unique debuff "Asleep", as well as a Metallicize buff, preventing it from taking any action, but granting it 8 Block at the start of every turn.
